Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SHIGEYOSHI, LLC ("SHIGEYOSHI," "we," "our," or "us") website, your submission of an Express Interest form, and your participation in any SHIGEYOSHI journey. By accessing or using this website, submitting an Express Interest form, making a reservation, or participating in a journey, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About SHIGEYOSHI
SHIGEYOSHI offers curated small-group journey experiences designed exclusively for women ages 45 and older. Journeys are intentionally limited to two or three Guests to encourage meaningful shared experiences while providing a more personalized experience.
SHIGEYOSHI is not a travel agency, tour operator, or transportation service. Guests are responsible for arranging and paying for their own airfare, lodging, and travel to and from the designated meeting location. SHIGEYOSHI provides a curated journey experience that includes planning, coordination, companionship, and travel together throughout the journey.
2. Guest Eligibility
To participate in a SHIGEYOSHI Journey, Guests must be at least 45 years of age when they sign the Participant Agreement. Each Journey requires a minimum of two confirmed Guests and accommodates no more than three Guests.
Guests should carefully review the activity level, physical requirements, and other information provided on the individual Journey page before submitting an Express Interest form or making a reservation. Guests are responsible for reviewing the physical requirements of each Journey and ensuring they are physically able to participate in the activities described, including sitting in a vehicle for extended periods, where applicable.
Prior to departure, Guests must complete all required reservation documents, including the Participant Agreement and Health Disclosure. Participation in a SHIGEYOSHI Journey is subject to SHIGEYOSHI's review and approval of those documents. SHIGEYOSHI reserves the right to decline or cancel a reservation if a Guest does not meet the eligibility or participation requirements for a particular journey.
3. Booking Process & Payment
Following the close of the Express Interest period, selected Guests will receive an Invitation to Reserve email with instructions for completing the reservation process, including required documents, payment deadlines, and other important information.
To reserve a SHIGEYOSHI Journey, Guests who are invited to participate will receive an Invitation to Reserve email outlining the next steps, required reservation documents, payment deadlines, and other important information. Guests must complete and sign the Participant Agreement, Health Disclosure, and any other required reservation documents, and pay the required deposit by the deadline specified in the Invitation to Reserve email.
The final payment is due by the date specified in the Invitation to Reserve email. Failure to submit the final payment by the stated deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation.
All deposits and payments are subject to the Cancellation Policy in Section 4 of these Terms & Conditions.
SHIGEYOSHI accepts payments exclusively through Stripe and PayPal.
4. Cancellation Policy
Within Fourteen (14) Calendar Days of Paying the Required Deposit
Guests may cancel their reservation within fourteen (14) calendar days after paying the required deposit and receive a full refund of all amounts paid. After the fourteen (14)-day cancellation period expires and before the final payment due date stated in the reservation documents, the required deposit becomes non-refundable. Any additional payments made beyond the required deposit will be refunded.
After the Final Payment Due Date
If a Guest cancels after the final payment due date stated in the reservation documents, SHIGEYOSHI will refund fifty percent (50%) of the total journey price paid, provided the cancellation is received at least sixty (60) calendar days before departure.
Fewer Than Sixty (60) Calendar Days Before Departure
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received fewer than sixty (60) calendar days before departure.
No-Shows and Early Departures
No refunds will be issued for no-shows or for Guests who voluntarily leave a journey after it has begun.
Refund Method
Any refunds are issued to your original method of payment.
All Guest cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email. A cancellation is considered effective on the date SHIGEYOSHI receives the email.
Cancellation by SHIGEYOSHI
Minimum Guest Requirement
If the minimum number of confirmed Guests required for a journey is not met, SHIGEYOSHI may cancel the journey. In that event, affected Guests will be offered the opportunity to transfer to another available journey or receive a full refund of all amounts paid directly to SHIGEYOSHI.
Cancellation for Reasons Beyond SHIGEYOSHI's Control
SHIGEYOSHI reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify a journey due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, unsafe road conditions, natural disasters, government actions, road closures, illness, injury, or other unforeseen events.
Reasonable changes to the itinerary, route, schedule, or planned activities due to weather, road conditions, closures, or other circumstances beyond SHIGEYOSHI's reasonable control do not constitute a cancellation of the Journey and do not entitle Guests to a refund. SHIGEYOSHI will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative activities or destinations whenever practical.
Refund Options
If SHIGEYOSHI cancels a journey before departure, Guests will be offered the option to receive a full refund of all amounts paid directly to SHIGEYOSHI or apply those funds toward another available SHIGEYOSHI journey. If the selected journey costs more than the amount previously paid, the Guest is responsible for paying the difference. If the selected journey costs less than the amount previously paid, SHIGEYOSHI will refund the difference to the original method of payment.
Expenses Not Covered by SHIGEYOSHI
SHIGEYOSHI is not responsible for reimbursing airfare, lodging, meals, independently purchased attraction tickets, or any other travel-related expenses incurred by the Guest.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect against unexpected events.
5. Participant Agreement & Health Disclosure
Before participating in a SHIGEYOSHI Journey, Guests must complete and sign the Participant Agreement and Health Disclosure, along with any other required reservation documents identified in the Invitation to Reserve.
The Participant Agreement outlines important information regarding participation in a SHIGEYOSHI Journey, including assumptions of risk, Guest responsibilities, expected conduct, and other applicable terms and acknowledgments.
The Health Disclosure helps SHIGEYOSHI prepare for the Journey by providing important information regarding medical conditions, allergies, emergency contacts, dietary restrictions, service animals, and other information that may be relevant during the Journey.
Guests must present a valid government-issued photo identification before the Journey begins to verify that the individual participating is the same individual who executed the required reservation documents. Failure to present acceptable identification may result in cancellation of the reservation, and the applicable cancellation policy will apply. SHIGEYOSHI does not routinely retain copies of government-issued identification unless necessary for legal, insurance, fraud prevention, or other legitimate business purposes, or as otherwise required by law.
Failure to complete or provide any required reservation documents may result in cancellation of the reservation.
6. Photography & Media
SHIGEYOSHI may photograph, film, or otherwise capture images, audio, or video of Guests during a Journey for use in marketing, promotional, educational, or other business-related materials. Guests will not receive compensation for the use of such materials. Full terms, including the opportunity to opt out, are provided in the Participant Agreement.
7. Location Confidentiality
Stewardship of the places we visit is core to SHIGEYOSHI. Well-known, publicly recognized destinations may be shared or tagged. Lesser-known or off-the-beaten-path locations may not be publicly disclosed, geotagged, published, or otherwise shared publicly. Full terms are provided in the Participant Agreement.
8. Website Use
Your use of the SHIGEYOSHI website is subject to our Terms of Use. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Use, which are incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference.
9. Guest Conduct
Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, and lawful manner throughout the Journey. Behavior that is disruptive, abusive, threatening, illegal, or that materially interferes with the enjoyment or well-being of others may result in removal from the Journey without refund.
SHIGEYOSHI reserves the right to decline or remove any Guest who fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions, the Participant Agreement, or other reasonable instructions provided by SHIGEYOSHI. Additional conduct expectations are outlined in the Participant Agreement.
10. Limitation of Liability
These Terms & Conditions do not replace or limit the terms of the signed Participant Agreement, which governs the assumption of risk and liability waiver for each Journey.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Galveston County, Texas.
11. Changes to These Terms
SHIGEYOSHI reserves the right to modify, revise, or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of this website or any future reservation or participation in a SHIGEYOSHI Journey constitutes acceptance of the then-current Terms & Conditions.
